Send a child to the ballet this holiday season

Today may be ‘Cyber Monday’ for online shoppers, but on the SF Ballet website, your dollars could make a real difference for a child in the Bay Area – by giving the gift of Nutcracker.

For almost twenty years, our dedicated Children’s Enchantment Fund has provided local under-served children and families the opportunity to see SF Ballet’s Nutcracker totally free of charge. Since its inception in 1992, the Fund has enabled over 27,000 children and their families served by social service agencies throughout the Bay Area to come to the War Memorial Opera House and enjoy the performance at no cost. For many, it’s not only their first experience of this holiday tradition, but also a rare opportunity to see dance onstage – and it’s all made possible by your generosity.

If you’d like to help send a child to the ballet this holiday, why not make a donation today? Every dollar given makes a difference, and every gift – no matter how small – allows SF Ballet to bring holiday magic to local children and families.

I wanted to thank you for your post. We offer ballet lessons in West Chester, PA and like you also have special programs for kids with special needs. There is nothing, in my opinion, more symbolic of the holiday season than the Nutcracker and the magic it displays. Kudos to you for providing a vehicle for kids that otherwise would miss this gift.
